There are various Christmas traditions being followed wherever you are in the world. And in Rochester, Michigan they are having Lagniappe (pronounced lan-yap) which means “something extra”. Merchants give a small gift to customers who make a purchase. Plus they will be lighting the Christmas lights on the fronts of all of the businesses on Main Street (millions of lights), giving free horse drawn carriage rides, roaming musical groups singing Christmas songs, and Santa and Mrs. Claus, and reindeer for the kids… a very nice old fashioned Christmas atmosphere.
